(2015 – 2019)
Tony was a special dog who lived a special life bringing happiness to all he came in contact with. We raised Tony as a Guide Dog for The Blind and from the beginning it was clear that he was exceptional. Tony went on to graduate and work as a Guide Dog in Florida before retiring and returning home to our family.
Once back home, Tony decided that he wasn’t done helping others and began his second career as a Lend A Heart therapy dog. As a therapy dog, Tony especially loved being a BARC (Boarding Area Relaxation Corps) dog at the Sacramento International Airport.
In total, Tony served 4 years as a LAH therapy dog. We miss Tony greatly, but know that he lived a full life in service of many. Rest In Peace, Three Toe Tony! Cancer took you way too soon. You will be missed more than words can express.
